Which Exercise Equipment Works with Island Worlds?

Any stationary equipment can be used with the Island Worlds Trainer. To have the most fun with Island Worlds we suggest that you use interactive exercise equipment.

XRGameKit™ (Coming in December 2008)

Description: If you already have a stationary exercise bike, you can attach this kit to your bike to make it interact with Island Worlds. Your character speed is directly proportional to your pedal speed. This kit also keeps track of your exercise progress. You can view your speed, time, heart rate, distance and estimated calories burned for any day that you've used the bike.

Pros: Low cost. Optional wireless heart rate monitor.

Cons: Not as responsive as the PCGamerBike.

MagneTrainer™ with the PC Interface Option

Cost: $178.

Description: The MagneTrainer is a portable exercise bike that has an expansion port into which you can plug options. The PC Interface Option turns the MagneTrainer into an interactive exercise bike. Pros: It's the lowest cost solution that comes with a bike.

Cons: Character response to pedal motion is sluggish. You need to use your keyboard or a game controller to go backwards.
